Volkswagen India has announced price reductions of up to ₹3.27 lakh on its popular models under the revised GST 2.0 regime. The new pricing will take effect from 22 September, following the GST council’s rate announcement by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
Volkswagen GST Price Cut,the reductions cover Volkswagen’s key models: Virtus, Taigun, and Tiguan R-Line, making them more affordable ahead of the festive season. The Virtus sedan will see a decrease of ₹66,900, the Taigun SUV will be reduced by ₹68,400, and the Tiguan R-Line receives the largest price cut at ₹3,26,900.
In addition to GST-linked reductions, Volkswagen is offering limited-time benefits for customers booking before 21 September. These include discounts of ₹1.61 lakh on Virtus, ₹2.5 lakh on Taigun, and ₹3 lakh on Tiguan R-Line. The move aligns with other automakers like Skoda, which is also offering GST reductions and temporary discounts on models like Kushaq and Slavia.
Industry experts note that these price adjustments aim to boost sales during the festive period while leveraging GST benefits for customers. With the Volkswagen GST price cut, buyers can now access premium models at significantly lower costs, improving affordability and driving demand in India’s competitive automotive market.
